Our take on Coronavirus & delivery
With the world gripped in panic over what the WHO has now formally called a 'global pandemic' - emergency buying and bulk stocking has become the norm as restaurants and public spaces start running empty.
We would like to assure you that we're not taking any shortcuts either. As of next week, our staff will be getting equipped with all the necessary precautions and prophylactics to still safely and hygienically handle our business of delivery, as thousands go into quarantine or self-isolation / remote working situations. It's critical that we don't throw babies out with the bathwater, but it's sensible that communities are responding in union in order to slow the spread of disease, especially in a country with many vulnerable people groups.
Whether you're in the group that's calling it over-reaction or on the side of those taking extreme caution, please stay safe and don't do anything that could put others in direct harm.
If you're not feeling well and are ordering, please let us know in advance and we'll also be able to facilitate a contact-less delivery for you using Zapper as payment method (please download this in advance). Some might prefer a link or QR code to physically swiping cards or touching card readers, which is understandable as well. For that reason, in-app payments or Zapper links would be our recommended methods of payment.
We also anticipate many out of stock situations and other inconveniences, but with patience and kindness we will work together as a community to ensure everyone has access to what they need and that all necessary precautions have been taken.
